Later, they will become involved in ship design and construction. Players can travel on them using the basic transportation rules, and may find it interesting to engage in trade and commerce in order to make some money. Unless someone were to stat it per High Guard or other rules - gear heading is no longer a passion of mine) - I always assume my ships are Imperial average at TL12. It details interstellar travel and starships for Classic Traveller. I'm pretty much a scout and merchant guy and my old gaming friends leaned heavily toward mercenary adventures. The ship was designed per Book 2 construction rules, and the only TL restriction is for the computer, which could go as low as TL5 for a model 1 (as weird as that seems). Deck Plans - Starship: 200 ton (ish) Yacht So in all the years I've been playing Traveller and more likely, playing with Traveller, I've never adventured in a yacht. I've never accepted the idea that the ramp here is too steep as there are several ways to make it work as shown (ramp surface includes fold out stair treads, ramp surface includes motorized tread surface beneficial for boarding and loading/unloading cargo, ramp includes moderate repulsor grav plating, ramp includes telescoping inner ramp, etc, etc.) I just don't feel the need to resolve every operational parameter for the sake of those who would rather point out supposed design flaws rather than engaging their imagination. The landing gear issue for this design is that there is a ventral turret, so the body needs to be a certain distance above the ground.
